As we pull up to the changes to the last

Sometimes we miss opportunities and lose time because of the fear of change. But one small event can change everything. Blogger Janet Bertolus tells the story of a woman whose door opened into a new life ... a cat.

As we pull up to the changes to the last

A friend of mine lived a long time in a rented apartment. The owner of the house was getting old and evolved from, in general, is a good guy in a fat man with a nasty character. The house also gradually fell into decay. First there was a sign "does not work" on the door of the elevator - is good still, that on its floor were a total of 73 steps. The paint on the walls behind as after a bad sunburn.

Intercom stopped working long ago, and no one was surprised by the voice of a neighbor who, standing at the window, and asked to throw the key. Oven operates in two modes - moderately warm and charred briquettes.

All friends have asked - why did not she moving? She replied: "I've lived here 18 years, and most importantly - are allowed to live with the animals."

But one day the landlord rang the doorbell to deliver a parcel, and went to meet him, cat. She began to rub his legs, purring loudly.

Too loud.

- What is it? - said the master.

- Oh, it's my cat - murmured my friend.

- I do not allow cats, - he said, and his stomach lurched in confirmation of these words.

- But she's always lived here, - she said, trying to discreetly push your cat back to the apartment foot in sneakers. Cat decided that it is played, and grabbed her leg with its front paws. - The cat should disappear. Or I'll evict you! - said the host. To think she left a week.

She had money. She was aware that this apartment turned into a bad place. The problem was not the case. She did not want any changes. She hated the thought of moving. She used to live here. Even knowing that can find an apartment is better, she wanted to stay. And I find a thousand reasons to change nothing.

All of a sudden it dawned on me: it seriously worsened the life of your beloved pet

Late at night, she emptied the contents of the cat's tray in an opaque package. I gathered to empty cans of canned cat and went with the package on the next street, which threw him into one of the containers. In her apartment now always I played the radio. One day she spent Saturday morning to move the "cat tree" away from the window where he could see someone in the street. The tray has moved to the far corner of the bathroom. Now the curtains on the window were always pushed - just in case.

And then one night it dawned on me: it seriously worsened the life of your beloved pet. It was the last straw.

The next day, she told at work that wants to move and looking for owners who are not against pets. After two and a half weeks, she found a cute little house with a separate entrance, with a lawn, and the hosts, are very favorable to the animals themselves kept two Siamese cats. New start!

For some reason, someone else's happiness (our cat, friends, or family members) more important to us than your own

new in every sense. Freshly painted walls, real wood floors. Dish washer and dryer! Tree outside the window, oven, running like a fairy tale, and the finishing touch - in the hallway was a special place reserved in order to put back the cat tree. Happy cat was nobody!

You probably ask, it's all happened thanks to the cat? It seemed the wrong time just to make it all started to happen? Maybe.

But I think the moral of the story is also the fact that many of us sometimes could barely drag his feet along the road that leads to happiness. All of us at times so behave.

And that somehow someone else's happiness (our cat, friends, or family members) more important to us than your own. And it's worth taking a step away from their fears, and we will open an incredible opportunity.
