As the key to the castle (my thoughts on career guidance psychodiagnostics)
It so happens that in my life have had to deal with the definition of the professional aptitudes of young and not very people.
Not an easy task, but its practical value is extremely high. Suitable profession makes a person happy in the business, it allows to develop freely, to grow intellectually and socially.
But how does it choose the most suitable profession?
As young people often choose a profession? The most important factors in this choice are:
- the opinion of people from among the inner circle;
- economic considerations;
- prestige of the profession;
- emotional attitude (sometimes fleeting);
- the external attributes of the profession.
That is, choosing a profession, many young people are guided or strangers estimates or random features of the profession. People can already during their studies to understand what the profession does not suit him, but under pressure from loved ones, from a sense of duty or for other reasons, to finish school and get your hands on a degree of competency, which would not be desirable to use in selecting thus unsuitable profession, life. How to approach to the choice of profession, not to be in the role of man in a coat with someone else's shoulder? To do this, it is worth considering a number of its own features:
- emotional characteristics;
- intelligent features;
- characteristics of personality.
Talking about motivation, I mean that people should want to work in the specialty, which is going to get, should at least be happy to represent yourself in the future workplace.
Emotional features must also comply with future activities: emotionally moving, explosive teacher or the seller is unlikely to be successful in the profession, as well as emotionally cool actor, however.
Intelligent features suggest the prevalence of certain intellectual abilities and inclinations. A man who by the nature of activity to be working with people and explain, must have developed verbal intelligence, work well with numbers and charts require the development of abstract and logical thinking.
Accounting personal features is also required. The degree of sociability, willingness to contacts with many people, leadership skills - all play an important role in choosing a profession. Fortunately, psychologists have an extensive number of techniques that can detect characteristics of a person and tell him the future scope of professional use. If the profession is well chosen, if it suits a person, as a key to the lock, thus:
- will bring joy;
- will cause a person to develop;
- will provide social and material growth;
- save from professional deformation and emotional burnout;
- will create a sense of meaningfulness of their lives.
Unsuitable same profession often lead to social and intrapersonal conflicts of neuroticism and the development of psychosomatic diseases, sense of meaninglessness of life.
In this way, each person even has the character of an overly sharpened features, low intellectual development, with a competent professional orientation psychodiagnostics can choose a profession that would correspond to his type of personality and intelligence.
